Maja Franceschi M.D., Ph.D. is Adjunct Professor of Radiology, Department of Radiology, Renaissance School of Medicine, SUNY at Stony Brook, New York. Dr Franceschi is Professor at Medical School, University Osijek, Croatia. Prior to joining Stony Brook University Hospital Faculty Dr Franceschi was Head of Department of Nuclear Medicine, UHC Sestre Milosrdnice, Zagreb, Croatia until 2022.

Her clinical and research interests are primarily focused on thyroid gland diagnostic and treatment, nuclear medicine in oncology including various interventions under US control in oncology patients. In addition to authorship of more than two hundred publications and abstracts; she is co-author of 5 academic books; numerous presentations and invited lecturer at domestic and international meetings.
